Catherine’s Bakery are an independent bakery which was formed 30 years ago by its Managing Director, John Powers. Following his training at Birmingham College of Food and Domestic Arts, John built on his wealth of bakery knowledge and skills in main stream bakery departments in the likes of Morrisons, Safeways, before creating his own business in Catherine’s Bakery, Broseley, Shropshire in 1994.
This soon developed into a well-known and respected brand across Telford and Shropshire and a small wholesale provision.
We currently produce bread, cakes, sandwiches and savoury items for shops in Newport, Bridgnorth, Shifnal, Wellington Indoor Market and also have a small wholesale provision to independent local businesses. All our produce is freshly made on the premises each day and sold within the Catherine’s Bakery shops.
We have a strong customer base within each market town. We support the shop local ethos and the drive to promote and enable local small businesses to thrive.
